Note for Water pump: Mercruiser, MC-1 lower unit and the Alpha One lower unit can be used with the same upper gearcase. That said the replacement are not the same for both sterndrive units. Example: let say you have this Mercruiser upper gearcase showing and your boat is years 1970 to 1983 our GLM Marine aftermarket water pump kit is number 12110 how ever if the lower unit was replaced with the newer Alpha one that came out in years 1984 to 1990, Then the GLM Marine water pump kit is number 12120. The water pump base, gasket and o-ring is not the same. You can the year of the lower units for years 1970 thru 1983 by the Mercruiser vertical drive shaft end that has the 1/4 pin in it about 5/8 of inch long and Alpha one drive shaft has no pin on the end. Over the years your Mercruiser outdrive lower unit may have been replaced after all unit is about 40 plus year old.
