Aluminum trim tab can be used for salt water, brackish and fresh water. Installed onto the lower unit on Mercruiser and
Alpha models made between 1970 - 1990. Does not work with the Alpha 1 Gen 2 (1991 and up).
This tab will prevent
corrosion of the aluminum drive housing, and will also offset the pull of the boat to one side due to the propeller rotation.
This part can be rotated before full tightening the screw - if the boat is pulling too much to the side after installation,
