Lower unit OMC 800 gear set heavy duty Stringer outdrive
Heavy duty OMC 800 gear set includes forward, reverse,
pinion gears (*clutch not included) and (#21651) thrust washer
It is recommended that a new clutch (#22625) be installed with these heavy duty gears
Works with all 6 cylinder, V6 and
V8 OMC Stringer 800 sterndrives from 1981 - 1985 with mechanical shift (*does not work with 1978 - 1980 with
hydraulic shift model)
Machined from higher alloy 8620 forged steel which is capable
of operating with up to 300 horsepower
#22666 gears are (12/22 ratio) while standard gears
are (14/26 ratio).
